Design Lina Johansson

Scandinavian home textiles and art prints

Whether it’s a blanket or rug, tea towel or blanket, every item you see is designed to be well used and well loved! When designing a new product, Lina thinks not only about how it will look when it comes off the loom, but how it will look in 20 years, too. Thoughtfully chosen materials of a high quality blend beauty and practicality, and often just get better with time. All products are designed and produced with timelessness in mind – intended to exist outside of trends and become your own personal classic.

Lina’s designs channel a modern, light-filled Scandinavian aesthetic with whimsical twists, and she aims to create beautiful items that contribute to unique, cosy homes.

The company was founded in 2012, and has since expanded internationally. The products are available for purchase online and can also be found at a range of boutiques in 10 countries.

I want people to use and enjoy my textiles – they’re not just decoration, they’re practical and useful. A rug should be walked, crawled and danced upon, a blanket should be snuggled with and a table cloth should be spilled upon!

So who is

Lina?

That would be me! I graduated from the Swedish School of Textiles in 2012, and founded my business right away, eager to work with textile design on my own terms and be able to realise my dreams and ideas.

On any given day, you’ll probably find me in my studio in Nykvarn, outside Stockholm, where I’ll be focused on getting my products out into the world or dreaming up new patterns and palettes.

I love to work with textiles, since they can add so much value to a home. Blankets, cushions and rugs make a room look warm, cosy and welcoming, while adding a wonderful splash of colour and texture. Textiles even create a more pleasant soundscape!

My goal is to create things that you can love and really use for decades. I look far and wide to source high-quality materials and work primarily with manufacturers in the EU, so every item is ready to live a long life in your home.

For me, adding colors to a design is way of adding warmth and joy. I’m continually fascinated by the impact a subtle difference in hue can make, and I love how even a small flash of color can transform the feeling in a room.
